Central America Contract

SEGURA Consulting was contracted by USAID to conduct a series of studies to identify the main obstacles to strengthening the environment for doing agribusiness in Central America.  The initiative has started in Guatemala, where the team has developed a specific methodological approach to be replicated in the other countries included in the effort. The team will continue its work, first in Nicaragua and then Honduras.  All three countries are eligible for support from the Feed the Future initiative. The SEGURA work is intended to provide key findings and recommendations to the missions as they program their FTF resources and develop their country strategies. A decision will be made at the end of the work in Guatemala, Nicaragua, and Honduras whether to undertake additional studies in Costa Rica, El Salvador, and/or the Dominican Republic.
